Increasing virtual memory in XP

If you get a little yellow balloon that pops up on your task bar warning you that the virtual memory is low it should not be a great cause of concern. If this happens just once that’s OK because that balloon basically says Windows has found a problem and is fixing it (hopefully it does).

Computer display is sideways

This is a common question, and usually involves a cat. Some video cards allow you to flip the video sideways so you could turn your monitor sideways for more screen real estate. This is probably good for tablet laptop PC’s or lcd displays that allow you to flip the screen 90 degrees. I think most users accidentally stumble into this hidden feature.

My computer wont shut down

Usually when a pc does not shutdown means a program is still running in the background and won’t give up. You could shut down the computer or laptop by holding down the power button for about 5 seconds.
