Buy cheap hdmi cables dont be a sucker
December 1, 2007
One of the things that really gets me annoyed is the ridiculous prices the big retailers charge for cables, and with hdmi cables being the latest and greatest, places like Bestbuy are going to push you towards the overly priced Monster Hdmi cables for your new home entertainment system. And of coarse the general public who are not very tech savvy we be lead to believe that the 100 dollars hdmi cable is a must for the best hd television experience. These big box stores mark up the price so much it’s disgusting and people still buy them. There really is no reason for buying expensive hdmi cables unless your name happens to be “Donald Trump” or maybe you just like to flush money down the toilet. Hdmi is digital it either works or it doesn’t.
Still don’t believe me? Read this hdmi cable comparison by Gizomdo and check out this article by ars technica and here’s another one posted in Sony Playstation Forum
Here are a few places to buy cheap hdmi cables online Monoprice and Blue Jeans Cable, or check out your local computer store they usually have great prices on cables. I ordered a 3 ft hdmi cable yesterday from Monoprice and the grand total was under $8 dollars ($3.50 shipping). Sweeeet.
